The Role

The purpose of this position is to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Adult Competition Department. This role ensures the smooth day-to-day functioning of key programs - including Tennis on Campus, USTA Leagues, Adult Tournaments, and Red Ball Tennis - by managing critical "behind-the-scenes" tasks. Your contributions will provide the logistical foundation necessary to scale our reach toward Project 35x35.

 

  • Administrative Maintenance:
    • Assist program leads with various administrative tasks including participation reports, event support, and other items.
    • Assist in the initial review and routing of vendor invoices, expense reports and grant requests.
    • Track Adult National Tournament surveys and ensure they are updated and distributed to Tournament Directors and the Adult Competition Committee.
  • Operational Support:
    • Help prepare and distribute digital and physical materials for Adult Competition programs (e.g., handbooks, marketing collateral, or equipment kits).
    • Ensure Adult Competition website content is fresh and relevant with regularly scheduled updates as provided by program leads.
    • Complete various tasks related to Adult Competition events.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Support the "Project 35x35" initiatives by organizing meeting schedules, tracking project timelines, and updating progress reports.
    • Help maintain spreadsheets for staff or official travel and housing blocks during major Adult Competition events like League National Championships.
  • Other Tasks as assigned by the Director of Adult Competition

Who You Are

  • Prior administrative assistance experience.
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as Google Suite
  • Team player
  • Extremely strong detail orientation and accuracy required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Tennis experience a plus
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in Orlando and may allow remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements, as updated occasionally. 

The expected salary for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 hourly rate. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
