The Role

 

The Coordinator, Project Advisory is responsible for managing the onboarding of new projects into the USTA-TVS system.  This includes working with clients to intake projects, working with them to articulate project needs, programs, and special requirements, and orchestrating the internal and external subject matter expertise that can advise on the proposed project.  Serving as a generalist and process manager to both the USTA National office’s and the USTA Regional office’s, this role blends business consulting knowledge with the ability to work multi-laterally across legally distinct organizations to realize a capital project.

 

In partnership with the allied work-unit staff, the Coordinator will be forward-facing and must possess the confidence, relationship management skills, and organization necessary to confidently translate a vision into road map.  

 

Project Onboarding

 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new products and services.
  • Support the alignment of project opportunities within the broader USTA suite of services.
  • Project manage efforts between USTA National, USTA Regional, and the inquiring party, as directed.

 

Orchestration of Advisory

 

  • Orchestrate the subject matter expertise review of potential projects and new endeavors, as directed.
  • Co-develop new and refine existing approaches for project onboarding and review.
  • In coordination with section development, create project alignment and collaboration among USTA Section partners.
  • Maintain daily calendar and travel schedule for the Sr. Director

Other

  • Summarize project review and distill critical information, including critical path items.
  • Research and stay abreast of connections and trends between tennis, wellness, public parks, private health clubs, and private land developers, with the goal of identifying shared opportunities in key markets.
  • Work closely with the USTA marketing and communications teams to highlight compelling stories that can expand awareness and impact.
  • Develop strong working relationships with various national and regional USTA teams.
  • Develop strong working relationships with potential partners, including expectation alignment.
  • Actively collaborate with regional teams to ensure collaborations and transparency within each market.
  • Represent the USTA in national forums, events, and industry associations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for USTA meetings, online webinar training, and any external client meetings.

 

Who You Are

 

  • 3-5 years of experience managing complex projects.
  • Consulting skillset, including facilitation, identifying shared value, and cross-organizational advising.
  • Understanding of capital project development and review processes.
  • Understanding of land development-related processes.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • A collaborator with a growth-oriented mindset and an ability to build trust quickly.
  • Experience working for a mission-based organization.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is 45,000 - 48,000 and overtime eligible. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
