Communicates daily issues and work progress with the department Mgr. Keeps all equipment in good working order and reports any issues promptly. Holds area grounds meetings and daily pre-shift meetings for clear communication. Maintains current performance standards and working knowledge of assigned equipment. Collaborates with campus security and Facilities Mgr. on pertinent information impacting daily operations. Holds self and team accountable to meeting departmental expectations and standards. Performs a wide range of landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and fertilizing. Treats nuisance weeds and undesirable vegetation using chemical or physical methods. Provides outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all. Supervises workers assigned to the campus, monitoring work assignments and progress. Other duties as assigned. Manages routine and emergency grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge in the field of landscape maintenance. [Required]
• Strong understanding of horticultural practices and plant identification. [Required]
• Skilled in the use of common landscape equipment such as weed eaters, hedge trimmers, edgers, mowers, etc. [Required]
• Ability to lead small teams through projects and the day-to-day operation. [Required]
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills. [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English. [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. [Required]

Work Experience:

• 3+ general groundskeeper maintenance experience [Required]
• Experience at a Healthcare Facility [Preferred]
• Experience in delegating responsibilities amongst team members. [Required]
• Landscaping Maintenance Experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Required]

Pay Range:

$17.80 - $28.48
