As a Global 6500 Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will play a key role in developing confident, highly skilled pilots through world‑class simulator and ground school instruction. You will lead clients through training using CAE‑approved curriculum, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE curriculum, and customer requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) guiding clients through all phases of their training.
Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
Conduct thorough, professional pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
Complete required administrative tasks, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and monitoring instructor qualifications.
Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required.
After approximately 1.5+ years, and based on business needs, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Participate in training programs that may include international travel and extended stays.
Uphold a professional, welcoming learning environment and tailor training to diverse customers.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with CAE and FAA requirements.
High School diploma or state‑issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
3,000+ hours of total flight time.
2–5 years of job‑relevant experience.
Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
Strong customer service orientation.
Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based programs.
Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti‑Drug & Alcohol testing program.
Hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and one unrestricted PIC type rating
Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written)
Strong listening and presentation skills
Existing instructor qualification or type rating.
FAR Part 135 experience.
Experience on Global 6500 or other relevant business aircraft.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to deliver “red carpet” customer service.
Ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs.
Keen attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills.
Constantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Occasionally move into various positions, including confined spaces
Remain in stationary positions for prolonged periods (standing or sitting)
Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks
Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
Occasionally perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motions
