The Role

The Manager, USA Tennis Marketing, will play a critical role in building the foundational marketing and brand platform for USA Tennis. This position is responsible for supporting the development of a unified USA Tennis brand, executing core marketing initiatives, and helping establish the marketing infrastructure needed to support future commercialization, sponsorship, and revenue growth.

This role will focus on creating clarity, consistency, and momentum as USA Tennis defines its market position. The Manager will work cross-functionally with Events, Commercial Partnerships, Digital, Communications, and USTA Sections to ensure marketing efforts are aligned, scalable, and ready to support long-term growth.

Brand & Marketing Foundations

  • Support the development and implementation of the USA Tennis brand framework, including positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Assist in establishing brand guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency across events, programs, and platforms.
  • Help create core brand and marketing materials that clearly articulate the USA Tennis value proposition.

Marketing Strategy Support & Execution

  • Execute marketing initiatives that support USA Tennis priorities, including professional events, pathway programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and on-site channels in collaboration with Digital and Communications teams.
  • Coordinate timelines, assets, and deliverables to ensure consistent and timely execution.

Commercialization & Sponsorship Enablement

  • Support the development of marketing assets and storytelling needed to enable sponsorship and commercialization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Partnerships and Events teams to package and present marketing-driven inventory and partner-ready materials.
  • Assist in the development of foundational marketing tools that support partner acquisition and activation.

Event Marketing Support

  • Provide marketing support for USA Tennis events to ensure brand consistency and quality across the portfolio.
  • Assist in developing scalable event marketing templates and toolkits for use by internal teams and USTA Sections.
  • Coordinate with event stakeholders to support on-site branding and fan-facing elements.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on marketing activities, timelines, and basic performance metrics.
  • Gather insights and feedback to help inform future marketing and brand strategy.
  • Support documentation of processes, templates, and best practices as the function evolves.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across USA Tennis and USTA to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Serve as a point of coordination between marketing, events, and commercial teams.
  • Support agency and vendor coordination as needed.

 

  

Who You Are

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • 4–6 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting brand development or foundational marketing initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or consumer-facing brands.
  • Familiarity with sponsorship marketing or commercialization support.
  • Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional organization.

The expected range for the annual base salary for this position is $70,000 - 80,000. This role is eligible for an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) bonus up to 5%. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
